E. coli O157:H7 — Food & Beverage is a specialised analytical laboratory service that detects and enumerates Escherichia coli as an indicator of faecal contamination. The service is particularly useful for food safety, composition, quality or regulatory testing, providing a documented result that can support quality decisions, regulatory review, process control or investigation of the submitted material. A representative food sample is examined using Culture/PCR; correct sampling is important because the laboratory result can only represent the portion of material actually submitted.
