For example, an increase in white blood cells or certain markers can indicate that the immune system is fighting an infection. These clues help guide further investigation and confirm diagnosis.

Accuracy and quality control are at the heart of all laboratory testing. Every step, from sample collection to analysis, is carefully monitored to reduce errors and ensure reliable results. This is important because treatment decisions depend heavily on what the lab finds.
