Lamotrigine, the active ingredient, functions by stabilizing electrical activity in the brain, thereby preventing and controlling seizures, as well as aiding in mood stabilization. Indications
Epilepsy: Suitable for use alone or in combination with other medications to prevent and control various types of seizures.
Bipolar Disorder: Assists in preventing extreme mood swings, including episodes of depression, mania, hypomania, and mixed episodes.
Dosage and Administration
Adults and Adolescents (13 years and above)
Epilepsy
Monotherapy: Start with 25 mg once daily for two weeks, then 50 mg once daily for the next two weeks. Maintenance dose ranges from 100 to 200 mg daily, taken once or twice daily.

Bipolar Disorder
