Fatigue Test — Metals

Submit a clean, representative piece, coupon, component or bulk portion large enough for the requested test and any required repeat measurements. Protect surfaces that are relevant to the test from scratches, oil, moisture, corrosion or handling damage. Wrap or bag individual specimens separately, use rigid packaging for brittle or dimension-critical items, and label each sample with material grade, batch/heat number, orientation or sampling location where applicable. Do not apply tape, marker ink or protective coatings to the actual test area unless approved by the laboratory. For Fatigue Test — Metals, use packaging and preservation compatible with ASTM E466; if the receiving laboratory supplies a dedicated collection kit, bottle or transport medium, that kit takes precedence over general packaging guidance.

Supply the applicable standard, specification, target range or pass/fail limit before analysis when compliance is required. Declare hazardous, pressurised, flammable, reactive or contaminated material and provide a safety data sheet where available. Results apply to the sample received and should not be assumed to represent an entire batch unless the sampling plan supports that conclusion.
