Viscosity, Flash, Fire, Pour Point

Viscosity The measure of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Thicker fluids (like oil) have higher viscosity; thinner ones (like water) have lower viscosity. Flash Point The lowest temperature at which a liquid gives off enough vapor to ignite briefly when exposed to a flame. Fire Point The temperature at which a liquid produces enough vapor to sustain combustion continuously after ignition. Pour Point The lowest temperature at which a liquid can still flow. Below this temperature, it becomes too thick or solidifies.
